Thanks for stopping by.

Nothing seemed to work.

My journey to make money online started around 2001. I had tried many ways to make money online, but nothing ever seemed to work.

That’s right nothing worked consistently until I learned about persuasive writing.

Persuasive writing is the art of selling though words. The easy way of explaining this persuasive writing is by trying to convince someone to buy something even if their not ready to buy. This is basic skill of copywriting.

I always tell people I don’t sell, I just nudge people in the right direction.

Once I learned this skill my fortunes changed and changed for the better.

Persistence pays off.

I opened a small shop on Fiverr and a few other freelance sites, taking my newly learned skill.

This was my big breakthrough. It occurred around 2006 that’s when I started making real money online. I began booking deals for writing everything from product descriptions to ghost writing books for people that didn’t have time to write the book themselves. Life was good. It wasn’t great but it was good to see some money coming in.

Hocus Pokus

It was like magic. I worked for many different companies and various products. I came up with marketing materials and other promotional writings. It was easy for me to come up with catchy phrases and these companies loved the work I did for them.

I was writing daily with a purpose. Learning all along the way. Finding what worked and more importantly what didn’t.

I still love the challenge of writing something and seeing what results you can get from it.

It was about 2020 when people really began to hound me and ask how I was making the money I was. I would just say I wrote for a living, that’s not teachable. Either you have it or you don’t.

I really knew inside that was not true.

I learned a lot from trial and error, but at the same time I learned by taking courses online.

Like said earlier a copywriter that learns to write persuasively makes the big bucks. Well that’s not all.

What a copywriter must know to be successful.

  • You need to know you audience. (demographics blah, blah, blah) You also need to know what problem needs to be solved and and what are the pain points.
  • Writing a headline that makes them want to know more.
  • A call to action (CTA) that makes them want to do what you want them to do.
  • You need to be good a trimming the fat of your writing. Edit it and make it more readable. I like to keep it around the 5th grade level.
  • Try to be different. Your style or the way you present your copy. This helps tremendously.

If you do all of the above your copy will work like magic.

My style is called “KLT”.

Know, Like, Trust.

Once they know, once they like, once they trust = Customer

I don’t get paid unless you get paid.

That was my motto when I first started writing copy. Well it still is that way for me.

If my writing doesn’t produce for you we can part ways and never speak about it again.

Or we can still be friends and I will write until it does.

Either way I want you to be successful, so I can be successful.

Teaching and Mentoring

So I gave in around 2020 and began to teach on a limited basis. A few students at a time. Wow, never in a million years did I think I was teaching material, but people continued to ask me for it.

I have developed Copywriting teaching materials for business owners and entrepreneurs who want sharpen there marketing skills.

That’s where we are today.

I thank you so much for reading this far.
